Crusoe enables more sustainable digital infrastructure by utilizing clean energy to power artificial intelligence and other high-performance compute applications.
Chase's leadership experience at Crusoe has included building a high-functioning team of more than 500 professionals encompassing engineering, technology, business development, manufacturing, finance, law, operations, and administration. Chase has also held key roles in more than $1 billion of fundraising with venture, project, and credit capital investors for Crusoe.
Prior to founding Crusoe, Chase was a quantitative researcher and trader at Jump Trading and GETCO, where he developed and managed a portfolio of algorithmic trading strategies. Chase holds undergraduate degrees in math and physics from MIT and a master's degree in computer science from Stanford, where he specialized in artificial intelligence. He is currently on the board of CSforAll, an organization whose mission is to make high-quality computer science an integral part of the educational experience of all K–12 students and teachers. As a personal interest, Chase has climbed five of the “Seven Summits” including Mt. Everest.

David Crane is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Generate Capital.
He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the global energy sector, having
served as CEO of five publicly traded energy companies and as Chair of three: NRG Energy, NRG
Yield, Climate Real Impact Solutions I & II, and International Power Plc. During his 12 years at NRG
Energy, David led the company from Chapter 11 to a Fortune 200 company.
David has been widely recognized for his industry leadership. He was named Energy Industry CEO
of the Year by EnergyBiz in 2010 and ranked the top CEO in the energy sector by Institutional
Investor in 2011 as well as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2010. Prior to joining
Generate, David was Under Secretary for Infrastructure at the U.S. Department of Energy. He
currently serves on the board of JERA Co., Inc. and has previously served on the boards of
director of Saudi Electric Company, ACWA Power, and Tata Steel.
David is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Princeton University.
